ABOUT

AL BE POTTERY is the work of Ally Bruser, an artist and mother living in southwest Washington, on the unceded territory of the Chinook Nation.

Most of my ceramics are handbuilt using nerikomi techniques, the process of pressing and folding multiple colors of clay together then rolling them into slabs. Incorporating locally harvested wild clay causes variation that is both expected and celebrated.

When I am not making pottery I am working towards making the arts and arts learning experiences more accessible in the small towns near where I live. Also trying to surf more and be more patient with my three-year old.

10% of all online sales are donated to the Chinook Nation, who are still fighting for federal recognition - a designation that would allow them access to essential resources, educational, and economic opportunities. Please consider making an additional donation and signing their petition.

FAQ

Orders normally ship in 1-3 business days via USPS Priority (except items pre-ordered). Packages are marked fragile and insured for their full value. I will combine multiple items in one box when possible. I try to use biodegradable and/or recycled shipping materials.

If an item arrives damaged or you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please contact me with a photo of the item within 3 days of its arrival and I may be able to offer a full or partial refund depending on the situation.

Please let me know if there’s an item you were hoping to purchase but is sold out so I can make more. I am open to commissions, custom orders, ideas, and feedback. Send me a message.
